Guide for Authors
1. General Guidelines
Manuscripts must be submitted online via the “Submit Manuscript” link available in the menu on the journal’s website. First-time users are required to create an account using the “Register” link. For subsequent submissions, authors can log in using their existing credentials.
All submitted manuscripts are screened for originality using the Turnitin plagiarism detection software and undergo a double-blind peer review process.
Manuscripts submitted for the initial review do not need to conform to the journal's formatting template. Authors will be required to revise their manuscripts according to the official journal template only upon submission of a revised version following peer review. Final publication is contingent upon full compliance with the journal's formatting guidelines.
The Journal of ICT, Design, Engineering, and Technology Sciences (JITDETS) welcomes original and high-quality contributions in all areas of electrical engineering, as outlined on the Aims and Scope page. The journal accepts research articles, review articles, and applied articles.
Detailed submission instructions are provided in the following sections.
2. Manuscript Preparation
2.1. Initial Submission
For the initial submission, authors are required to upload
- Title page (with all authors details)
- The main manuscript file (in Microsoft Word format: .doc or .docx)
- A signed Copyright Transfer Form
When preparing the initial submission, authors are requested to observe the following guidelines:
- The manuscript must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx)
- Text should preferably be in 10-point Times New Roman font.
- Figures must be embedded within the text at appropriate locations.
- The document layout should follow either a double-column, single-line spacing format or a single-column, double-line spacing format, with a minimum margin of 1.5 cm on all sides.
- Each manuscript must include the following elements: Title, Author Names, Affiliations, Corresponding Author’s Email Address, Abstract, Keywords, Main Body, and References.
- Manuscripts should be written in clear and grammatically correct English. Authors are advised to thoroughly proofread their work for clarity, conciseness, grammar, and typographical accuracy.
- The Corresponding Author must sign the copyright transfer form on behalf of all co-authors and upload the signed form via the submission system. The form is available for download on the journal’s website.
- The title of the paper should avoid the use of abbreviations and mathematical expressions.
- All abbreviations should be defined upon first mention in both the Abstract and the main text.
- References must be numbered sequentially in the order they appear in the text.
2.2. Submission of a Revised Manuscript
Authors submitting a revised manuscript to the Journal of ICT, Design, Engineering, and Technology Sciences (JITDETS) must strictly adhere to the official journal template. The Microsoft Word version of this template, includes detailed formatting instructions and pre-defined styles that must be used. Authors should directly insert their manuscript content into the template to ensure compliance. Publication is contingent upon full conformity with this formatting template.
When submitting a revised manuscript, authors are required to upload the following documents:
- The main manuscript file in both Microsoft Word (*.doc or *.docx) and PDF formats.
- A completed and signed Copyright Transfer Form.
- A version of the manuscript with all changes clearly highlighted.
- A detailed response to reviewers' comments.
- A completed and signed Authorship and Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form.
2.2. Further details on file preparation and formatting are outlined in the following subsections.

2.3.1. File Format
Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (*.doc or *.docx).
2.3.2. Length
Maximum page limits, when formatted according to the journal's double-column template, are as follows:
- Original research papers: 12 pages

This includes all elements such as the abstract, figures, tables, references, and appendices. Exceptions to these limits require prior approval from the Editor-in-Chief.
2.3.3. Font
Manuscripts must use Times New Roman, 10-point font, single-spaced, in a double-column format.
2.3.4. Language, Spelling, and Grammar
Manuscripts must be written in English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscript reviewed by a fluent English speaker. Poor grammar or language may result in immediate rejection.
2.3.5. Title
The title should be centered at the top of the first page. Use 14-point, bold, Times New Roman font. Capitalize the main words.
2.3.6. Author Affiliations
List all authors' full names followed by their institutional affiliations in Title page. Use numeric or symbolic identifiers if necessary. If an author’s present address differs from the one at which the work was conducted, it should be included as a footnote. All co-authors must be listed during the online submission process.
2.3.7. Abstract
The abstract must not exceed 250 words and should clearly state the paper’s scope, methodology, main results, conclusions and novelty. It should be self-contained, with no references, figure or table numbers, or mathematical expressions.
2.3.8. Keywords
Provide 3 to 6 keywords immediately following the abstract.
2.3.9. Headings
Manuscripts should be divided into logical sections (e.g., Introduction, Research Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Implications etc.). All sections and subsections must be numbered using a multi-level style.
2.4. Figures and Tables
2.4.1. Placement
Figures and tables must be embedded within the manuscript text at appropriate locations.
2.4.2. Resolution
Figures must be high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi) and submitted as they are to be published, with no redrawing or relabeling.
2.4.3. Numbering
Figures and tables must be numbered separately and sequentially. Each must be referred to in the text and accompanied by a descriptive caption (figures: below; tables: above).
2.5. Mathematics and Equations
2.5.1. Formatting
Equations should fit within a two-column layout. Use bold italic for vectors/matrices and italic for variables. Superscripts and subscripts must be clearly distinguishable. Use superscript notation (e.g., 5x10^3, not 5E03). Use the multiplication sign (×) rather than a dot.
2.5.2. Numbering
Equations must be numbered consecutively and cited in the text using round brackets (e.g., (1)).
2.6. References
2.6.1. Numbering
References must be numbered sequentially as they appear in the text and enclosed in square brackets [1].
2.6.2. Citation
Ensure complete citation details, including DOIs where available. Avoid citing unpublished or non-peer-reviewed work unless accepted for publication.
2.6.3. Referencing Style
Use the IEEE referencing format. Refer to following section for detailed citation examples across various source types
